The camp was held at Willowpoint, the lush and scenic headquarters of Outward Bound South Africa.

  • A decision was made to return the under 18’s to their homes the next day, not because of any safety concerns but because of the link to the Carling brand
  • The 41 men who remained formed 5 groups which were taken through the unique and challenging adventure activities at the Outward Bound centre.

  • As the weekend progressed the men’s enthusiasm and enjoyment of the process grew. The Saturday evening show where groups are tasked with presenting a performance on the theme of NOEXCUSE was particularly entertaining and high energy.

  • Once again the conversations proved to be the highlight as men opened up and shared about their lives and struggles.

  • The weekend culminated around the flagpole as men received their certificates and took the pledge to stand against any form of abuse.

Fathers rejecting their children. that cry from the boy child is so huge – they are not worthy and they end up sabotaging their own progress in life because of the anger they are harbouring.”
