CORPORATE INVOLVEMENT
Organisations and corporations represent a great opportunity to amplify and spread the NOEXCUSE message and we have been actively engaged in seeking partnerships in both the public and private sector. Here are some of the organisations that we have begun to partner with:
ERNST & YOUNG
During 2020 EY invited FAN to facilitate two webinars for EY staff on the topic of GBV.
The first one on 25 August during women’s month was attended by 823 staff members and the second on 25 November during 16-Days attracted 401 participants. The response was overwhelmingly positive with the EY manager responsible for setting up the webinars commenting, “we have received nothing but great feedback and positive notes from employees as well as EXCO. EY is super proud to be partnering with Father A Nation and the messaging we brought to the firm in the course of 2020”. EY went one step further and sent out a mailer challenging their staff to sign up for the #NOEXCUSE online course. A #NOEXCUSE T-Shirt was given to each of the first 50 people who signed up.

ABSA
Absa agreed to support the #NOEXCUSE message by inviting their staff to sign up for the #NOEXCUSE online course during 16 Days of Activism.
ABSA have also agreed in principle to include the #NOEXCUSE material in their Community Financial Literacy training progamme which they provide for communities around South Africa. Plans on how this will happen will be finalised early in 2021.

UNISA (North Eastern Division)
On 26 November UNISA hosted a GBV webinar with key regional stakeholders at which Craig Wilkinson was the keynote speaker and one of the FAN mentors Trust Chinyame presented the work that the Champions for Change programme had been doing in the region.
There were 43 delegates in attendance representing a number of key stakeholders: UNISA staff and management, College of Human Sciences and Sociology, Protection Services, Office of the Regional Director, Office of the Deputy Director, Counselling, ICT Support and reps from the Western Cape and Midlands. This promises to be an ongoing partnership in which we would like to get UNISA endorsement of the course and extend it to the rest UNISA staff and students.

South African Revenue Service (SARS)
On 3 December we ran a NOEXCUSE webinar for the KZN regional office of SARS.
The regional director opened the session which was attended by 250 staff. With 14,000 employees and many key stakeholders SARS has the potential to become a major ally in the #NOEXCUSE campaign. We are in the process of putting in place an MOU to roll out to the rest of their staff.
