REPORT:
This was a highly successful event. Members of the community poured in and out of the stadium the whole day and several hundred stayed to watch the final which took place under floodlights at about 8 p.m.
The fence wraps, #NoExcuse gazebos and pop-up banners created a strong brand presence and the 150 shirts we gave out to captains, coaches and officials added to the atmosphere.
We opened the event with a short #NoExcuse message and then led the players in the pledge before singing the national anthem.
The games went smoothly with no serious incidents and the #NoExcuse team had excellent interaction with players and spectators throughout the day.
Our videographer interviewed numerous men on the topic of GBV and captured some good content.

“Let us not impose our abuse filled past life experience on our women and children.”
